Auditing External Provider

Auditing was one of the essential event to ensure that our external provider, (namely Sub-Contractor, Suppliers , etc) complied to all of requirement stipulated to them via contract documents.

When I became Manager QAQC & DC, I'd emphasizes on periodical audit to ensure why some are documentation are not resolved. Not just that, the auditor also shall overlook either the external provider have the capability to comply with quality management system imposed by us, their client throughout the next cycle before next audit.

So far, by doing that, we are able to highlight some of the improvement for them to comply, at the same time deliberative review on our system to ensure that it is comprehensible by every person involve in the project.

As an example, in our contract document, compliance to concrete shall be in accordance to MS523, therefore, every concrete producer to our project will be audited their compliance to MS 523, where the checklists, audit scope will be based on that.
